Unlike traditional auctions, Sold.sg features Pay-to-Bid auctions where users have to purchase Tokens to participate in an auction. All bid prices start from zero and each bid uses one Token ($0.75). Every bid increases the bid price by a fixed amount (1, 5, 15 cents) and the timer by up to 20 seconds. The auction closes when the timer reaches 0 and closes.
This model allows brand new products to be sold at an average discount of between 70-80% off retail!
