How does DEAL.com.sg work?

 

Every day you'll find new hot deals on DEAL.com.sg at discounts between 50-90%.

 

Once the minimum number of buyers for a certain DEAL is reached, the DEAL is "on". You know that the minimum number has been reached when it says "The DEAL is ON!" below the counter.

 

Immediately after your purchase you will receive an email from us with your electronic voucher (in pdf file). You can then print that voucher out for redemption at the merchant. Since we aggregate a large number of buyers for each merchant, we are able to pass on these kinds of discounts to our customers.

1. Am I able to change the name on the voucher as I am purchasing the voucher for my friend?
 
No, you can't change the name on vouchers. However, most of our vouchers are transferable. You may buy multiple vouchers as gifts and you can share it with your family and friends. They can easily redeem the vouchers without your presence.

 

2. Does DEAL.com.sg accept payment by major credit cards/debit cards?
 
Yes. We accept all major credit cards and debit cards. These include (but are not limited to) Visa, MasterCard, Amex and Diners' Club.

 

3. Why have I not received my vouchers?
 
Usually the vouchers are sent immediately upon successful purchases. You might want to check the junk / spam folder. Alternatively, you can also conveniently download your vouchers by “viewing your order history” after you login successfully to DEAL.com.sg. Or just write to us at CRM@DEAL.com.sg and we can resend you the vouchers immediately.

 

4. I bought Deal vouchers, so how to redeem my products or services?
 
Once you received the e-vouchers, print and bring them along to the merchant’s location to enjoy your deals. The printed vouchers are needed for verification purposes, along with your ID. Please note that some deals require prior reservation.

 

5. I will be away from Singapore. Is there any way for me to extend the expiry date of the vouchers?
 
Unfortunately, you will not be able to extend the duration of the voucher. Please check before making the purchase the dates most convenient to you.

 

6. What happens if the merchant ceases operations before I am able to redeem the voucher?
 
If the merchant were to cease its operation before you are able to redeem the voucher, we will issue you a FULL refund of the voucher/s that you have purchased. You can rely on DEAL.com.sg to provide you with full customer support if such a situation arises.

 

7. Can I purchase using my PayPal account which has an address outside of Singapore?
 
No. You will not be able to do so. However, you can call our office at +65 6299 3011 from Mondays to Fridays from 9am - 6pm and we will be happy to assist you.

 

8. I accidentally deleted the voucher, can I retrieve it back?
 
Yes you can. Download the vouchers again by logging in to http://www.DEAL.com.sg. After login, click "My Account" > "View Order History" and download your deal vouchers from there.

 

9. I missed last week’s deal, can I purchase it today?
 
Each deal lasts only for 24 hours and once it is over you can no longer purchase it. Don’t fret though – there is a new deal every day! Check our site daily for updates! You’ll never miss out on our irresistible deals again!

 

10. A deal T&C says "One redemption per person" and "Buy as many as you like as gifts." Can I buy some deals as gifts for myself and use more than one?
 
No. If the T&C states as such, you can only redeem one voucher for yourself. If you have purchased more than one, they have to be given to other people. You can give the e-vouchers as gifts to other people.

 

11. Help! I still don't understand how to purchase a deal.

Here is a little guide to ensure your buying experience stays fantastic with less hassle and more fun!

 

  1. Every DEAL has its terms and conditions. These are set by our merchants – they have drafted them down as these are information you will definitely need to know. Go through them in detail before your purchase – you wouldn’t want a “surprise”!
  2. All travel DEALs exclude fuel and surcharges and airport tax. These are variables that fluctuate and as such we do not want to overcharge you in case the prices drop. Remember to check with the airlines/merchants/ferry operators on the taxes imposed by them as DEAL.com.sg is not privy to this dynamic information.
  3. All DEALs have a validity period. Through the T&Cs, you will be informed of this. DEALs are generally non-extendable beyond the expiry date unless otherwise stated. So before you plan to use our Voucher for your upcoming anniversary in 2 months’ time, please make sure it’s valid till then!
  4. Our merchants and customer service team are always pleased to assist you and it would really help our other customers if you are savvy with the details of the DEAL. Almost half of the queries our merchants receive pertain to information that can be obtained from the T&C of a DEAL. That affects other customers, leading to a longer waiting time. We want all our customers to be happy and well-informed before making a purchase, so remember to check out the beautiful pictures and details with your friends!
  5. Say you have a unique situation on your hand at you’re looking at one of our irresistible DEALs! Remember that you’d want your situation addressed before your purchase. Be sure to contact our merchants with regards to your special situation before purchasing the DEAL. All the information we know are provided online. We can check with the merchants for your specific queries but that might take longer than if you call them up on your own – at least that’s one layer of channel eliminated and you’ll have your answer directly and immediately over the phone!
